For a variety of reasons, it's been a while since my last post, but without further delay, I would love to share some photographs that I took at today's Fifth Avenue Easter Parade.
Let's begin with this pink clad Angel with the winning smile, and sensible footwear.
Lots and lots of flowers adorned many hats this year. This fellow and lady were giving out some Easter treats from their baskets.
I always like the conceptual hats that turn up on Fifth Avenue. The chap in the white suit brought along a spare hat for passersby to try on...and be photographed in.
More flowers.
The Fifth Avenue Easter Parade is a mixture of individuals and groups who like to promenade together.
I went for the back view complete with red backpack and cottontails.
The lady in the red jacket wanted to be photographed next to this glamorous duo. Today's weather was mild, overcast with sun peeking through, and warm enough to encourage outfits like these.
Color blocking in several shades on display here on the zebra cross walk.
Lilies on top with a fedora on the side.
This couple have a grand sense of style and humor.
The young lady in the center of the above photo liked posing for others while taking selfies.
Stripes, with flowers.
this lovely lady in turquoise with a great smile allowed this fellow in blue to pose with her.
The above folks have a sense of humor and an angel standing near, just in case.
This amazing conceptual pink hat was constructed from many, many plastic cups attached together with candies attached to their open edges. Rather remarkable and a real crowd pleaser.
Glam girl wearing a glam girl chapeau.
More flowers!
This little sweetie in pink also was wearing old-fashioned white gloves, just like the ones I wore on Easter way back in the 1950s.
Ears, eggs and chicks!
Some sort of bird...
Throngs of folks entering and exiting St. Patrick's Cathedral, with armed guards at the doors. What we get used to!
Colorful couple. Hoping you can see the bunnies on their hats.
At least two types of style sense on display here.
Lovely profile, with lots of ruffles!
These gents were having such a great Easter Sunday as the sun peeked out from behind the clouds.
I took many more photographs, but will not burden you all with more here. I did want to leave you with a little Easter painting that I have already posted on my Instagram page.
Happy Easter to you all. Thank you for your visits and comments. I cannot promise when I will return here, but will promise to return.
